The Power Forge Clamp Style Base Plate gives you a robust, CNC-machined steel platform for mounting and securing bottom tooling on your fly press. Using a 6-hole clamp system arrayed around center—covering all four cardinal directions—this plate lets you lock down tooling from every angle with confidence. It’s the ideal entry point into the Power Forge base plate ecosystem, and it’s fully compatible with the Power Forge Precision Fixture Plate for expanded fixturing capabilities.

How the Clamp System Works

Six 3/8"-16 tapped holes are strategically positioned around the center of the plate—north, south, east, and west—allowing you to clamp bottom tooling securely from any side. Unlike zero-point indexing, this system requires the blacksmith to manually center the tooling with each setup change, making it a more hands-on but highly adaptable approach to tool positioning.
